Mostly the nominator asks for a classic look, the only time I can remember much of a shift was when they changed a coupe to a roadster. Rarely do they do much alteration, beyond big 'crate engines' and reworked suspension / interior. Boyd Roadster, Sportstar, Boydster I and II, and Boyd Air etc, all Chip Foose.īut as has already been pointed out 'the public gets what the public wants' all the cars are owned by an average joe, and they are nominated by a loved one, who advises Chip what style to restore the car to, given the time frame they do some amazing work making old rust buckets road safe again. (and all that is hidden unless the car is on a ramp) And as for Boyd, most of the best cars to ever come out of his shop were 100% Chip Foose designs. The rear suspension/diff area is worth of art. That car took Chip 7years to build and has over 4000 one off hand made parts. ![]() Check the picture of "Impression" I posted on the previous page. He is responsible for some of the most stunning ground up customs around. Foose's work on Overhaulin is nothing compared with his other proper stuff.
